Research Associate, Cancer Diagnostics Development
Work in a cross-functional team that supports clinical trials testing new targeted anti-cancer drugs, by developing tailored companion diagnostic assays. The DAKO brand within Agilent Technologies is one of the leaders in the field of companion diagnostics, partnering with various pharmaceutical companies, in order to bring their precision medicine drugs to market. We are looking for a talented and dedicated entry level biologist/biochemist to join the Companion Diagnostics Group in our Research and Development Department. You will work closely with experts in clinical science, regulatory affairs, immunoproduction and quality assurance to develop accurate, robust and precise assays. Your challenge will be to create value for Agilent through excellent job performance and innovative ideas that either create new businesses or enhance existing ones.
Here is what you will be measured on:
Applying systems to carry out and develop immunohistochemistry assays, in situ hybridization assays, and possibly molecular biology-based assays.
Assist in defining and designing the optimal development path for each product within our workflow and adhering to our quality management system framework. Quality is our passion.
Working with internal and external collaborators to employ Agilent's automated staining and labeling solutions for cancer diagnostics.
Execution of all aspects of experiments including planning, execution, analysis and reporting.
Ensuring success through collaboration with your team on your work.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Demonstration of excellent communication and teamwork skills
Solid knowledge and experience in immunohistochemistry. Experience in in situ hybridization, fluorescent techniques, protein biochemistry, cell biology and molecular biology desirable. Tumor biology knowledge a plus.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work with speed and focus
minimum requirement BS in Biology or Biochemistry.
