The Magnet Program Educator (MPE) demonstrates leadership, coordination, consultation, and creative approaches in the MPE position and serves as a mentor, educator, communication facilitator and consultant to health care staff in all disciplines throughout the health care system regarding the ANCC's Magnet Designation Program.
The MPE is directly responsible to the Director Regulatory Process/ Professional Services and has primary responsibility for program development and maintenance related to magnet designation coordination and documentation.
The MPE practices expert level nursing at the coordinator and leadership level.
The MPE possesses the knowledge and skill to effectively collaborate in the implementation of system and organizational change consistent with the Magnet Designation sources of evidence, data collection/submission and all aspects leading to and maintaining Magnet Designation.
The MPE, is a change agent and member of the leadership team, promotes nurse development with a focus on the promotion of key components of the Magnet Model.
Empirical Outcomes achieved through transformational leadership, structural empowerment, exemplary professional practice, and the promotion of an environment that embraces new knowledge, innovations and improvements.
The MPE refines and consults on the development and maintenance of data systems related to safety, satisfaction and nursing sensitive indicators.
The major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide leadership and consultation in the implementation and evaluation of guidelines, professional standards and policies consistent with Magnet Designation.
Coordinates the documentation of Sources of Evidence and acts as primary writer necessary and essential for successful Magnet Designation.
Fosters an environment that values the components of VAPAHCS Professional Practice.
Facilitates Strategic Planning for Nursing Service.
Assures the development of educational programs for nursing and health care system staff members regarding Magnet Designation and the components of the Magnet Model.
Attends needed training opportunities to ensure content expertise leading to successful Magnet Designation.
Monitors health care system conformance and attainment of the Magnet Sources of Evidence, providing organization and documentation for submission.
Demonstrates professional behavior (i.
e.
, respect, civility, ability to accept constructive criticism), effective communication and interpersonal skills, serves as a respresentative of the VAPAHCS Nursing Service.
Coaches colleagues in team building.
Actively participates in interdisciplinary groups to coach, educate and serve as a resource to all direct care providers in the Magnet Designation Journey.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
