Ivy Global, a premier education firm, is looking for SAT/SSAT/ACT instructors and tutors to join its team. We are hiring for locations around the Peninsula/Silicon Valley. If you are a bright, energetic individual with expertise in standardized tests and a passion for working with students, then this role is for you!
Compensation starts at $27.50/hour
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Creating an optimal learning environment in classroom and one-on-one settings
- Reviewing with students the fundamental content for each section of the SAT, ACT, or relevant SAT II Subject Tests
- Equipping students with the most effective skills and test-taking strategies for mastering these standardized test formats
- Customizing instruction to address individual student needs and learning styles
- Teaching the verbal, essay, and mathematical reasoning sections of standardized tests
- Equipping students to build key skills and effective strategies for SAT/SSAT /ACT test writing
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- A strong academic background: graduate or upper-year student from a top-tier university
- A proven history of success on standardized tests: scores in the 99th percentile
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students and parents
- Outstanding role models who are passionate about helping students achieve
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to students' homes as necessary
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, counseling or coaching is not necessary, but preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
