Senior C++/Java Developer needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Palo Alto, CA.
The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- C+
and/or Java
- Multitreaded, concurrent environment experience
- MySQL
What You'll Be Doing:
- Work closely with game designers and artists to implement large-scale game features
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks
- Build efficient and reusable abstractions and systems
- Identify and communicate best practices for Front End and Back End engineering
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed and organized
- Proficient in C+
and/or Java in a multi-threaded concurrent environment
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
- Ability to debug issues within custom code quickly
- A passion for developing scalable and optimized software systems
Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred
Qualifications:
- Three (3) plus years of software development experience
- High aptitude and technology-agnostic approach to engineering
- Degree from a top 20 CS School
- Extensive experience with developing systems
