JOB DUTIES: Under minimal supervision, plan, design, develop and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Design solutions to large complex features/problems involving other team members. Perform analysis and design of one or more difficult projects. Work collaboratively across other teams. Technical lead for all the infrastructure and tooling requirements for the engineering. Responsible for development of infrastructure and testing tools that will improve engineering efficiency across the organization. Develop test plans / test strategies / testing tools for testing different components of the greenplum database product. May be assigned to projects that utilize Python, database optimizer, query processing, and hadoop ecosystem fundamentals. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Comp. Sci., Engin(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field plus 24 months experience in job offered or computer related occupation. Education or experience must include: 1) Python, 2) Query optimization, 3) Query processing, 4) Perl, 5) Object Oriented Programming, and 6) Databases / analytics / Software Design / JAVA / Database optimization / Algorithms / Graph theory. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
