As a General Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our cutting-edge research and development efforts.
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled General Lab Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with 12-volt (not high voltage) systems, possess a keen attention to detail, and exhibit a strong aptitude for technical tasks.
This role involves working with power supplies, Lidar camera units, small-scale fabrication, basic parts changes, and providing assistance to fellow technicians and engineers.
Responsibilities:
Safely connect and test 12-volt power supplies, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
Install Lidar camera units on various experimental setups, following established procedures to ensure accurate data capture.
Perform small-scale fabrication duties, including assembling and modifying components as needed for research projects.
Conduct basic parts changes, swapping out components and devices under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers.
Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to set up experiments, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize equipment performance.
Maintain a clean and organized lab environment, ensuring that tools, equipment, and workspaces are well-maintained.
Assist in documenting procedures, troubleshooting guides, and experimental results for future reference.
Adhere to safety guidelines and practices, ensuring the well-being of yourself and those around you at all times.
Qualifications:
Automotive background required High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
Previous experience working with 12-volt systems is preferred; experience with Lidar technology is advantageous.
Proficiency in basic electrical and mechanical tasks.
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
