Job Summary Schedule Full-time Job Code 4123 Employee Status Regular Grade K Department URL Requisition ID 101805 The California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC), based within the Stanford University School of Medicine, is seeking a n Associate Director o f the Maternal Data Center to lead all administrative and compliance activities for CMQCC's research and data arms, including the nationally-respected Maternal Data Center.
CMQCC's mission is to end preventable morbidity, mortality and racial disparities in California maternity care through the development and application of research, quality improvement toolkits, state-wide collaboratives, and its innovative Maternal Data Center.
In implementing its mission, CMQCC actively engages with 300-member hospitals, external stakeholder groups across the state, and other Stanford University departments.
In addition, CMQCC is responsible for safely stewarding large data sets received from external organizations.
Over the last 15 years, working collaboratively with an extensive set of stakeholder partners, CMQCC has played an important role in dramatically reducing California's maternal mortality rate and improving statewide perinatal outcomes.
The Associate Director of the Maternal Data Center will oversee CMQCC's research and data arms, as well as its membership administration activities.
This will include shepherding all IRB and data use applications, overseeing contracts and compliance obligations--including HIPAA compliance and data security for the Maternal Data Center, and developing data use and sharing policies that apply to both external and internal stakeholders.
In addition, this Associate Director position will direct CMQCC hospital membership activities, including member fee-setting, invoicing and legal processes.
In this role, the Associate Director will work collaboratively with CMQCC leadership, other Stanford University departments and serve as CMQCC's representative with state agencies and other external stakeholder groups.
This position will supervise three direct reports.
CMQCC actively welcomes candidates from all backgrounds and life experiences.
Bay-Area residents are strongly preferred for this Stanford-based position and will be expected to work at CMQCC's Palo Alto offices at least twice a week.

Duties include:
Lead strategic planning and analysis for complex functions or programs with significant business, regulatory and/or technical challenges requiring subject matter expertise.
May provide development of program or function from initial concept to implementation.
Manage the administration and evaluation of programs or functions.
Oversee the interpretation, implementation and compliance with policies and regulations.
Recommend actions and/or resolve complex issues that often span organizational boundaries.
Represent the program or function at the university level and/or to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
Develop and manage outreach strategy that includes relationship development, communications, and compliance.
Oversee or supervise staff in the development and implementation of programs or functions.
May develop and/or oversee budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate constituencies which could span multiple organizational boundaries.
Demonstrated excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions using good business judgment and innovative and creative problem-solving.
Demonstrated ability to manage financial, organizational and staff resources.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to cultivate professional and business partnerships.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
