About the RoleFourier seeks a Head of Electrical Engineering to lead our development team that builds our electrolyzer systems.
You will be responsible for the high level design and architectural directions, prototyping efforts, taking the product from design to late-stage manufacturing.
Ideal candidates would have a demonstrated track record of leading small teams of exceptional engineers, scaling up teams from the ground up while building a strong engineering culture.
Ideal candidates would be up for an early stage adventure which involves rolling up the sleeves for hands-on design and leading system architecture from day one.
Roles and responsibilities The Head of Electrical Engineering will be a part of the core leadership defining the strategy and design directions of our product.
Oversee the electrical engineering on Fourier's technology development teams responsible for test stands, fabrication support, and stack hardware Prototype, plan timelines, and rapidly iterate to move from prototype to product Build and scale a world-class engineering team and develop leaders to grow with the company.
Provide technical guidance and leadership to the engineering teams in order to maximize the pace of innovation and development Champion new ideas, technologies and directions while steering the team towards execution.
Establish and implement the strategic direction of the companys engineering and development initiatives Drive and build upon our strong engineering culture that focuses on transparency, collaboration and innovation.
Engage in continuous performance management to coach, recognize, celebrate, and inspire excellence while clearly communicating expectations and accountability.
Develop Fourier's collaborative and people-driven culture to enable individual growth and make Fourier one the best places to work.
Qualifications Bachelors or advanced degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field.
Advanced degree in these areas is preferred.
Deep background in power electronics and design of high voltage power systems is ideal.

years of experience solving hardware problems at the director level or above Experience managing a team of 15 people and scaling up teams Experience in hands-on overall system design of electro mechanical devices Experience in building and deploying industrial grade products Ability to work on problems involving mechanical, chemical and electrical engineering in the energy space is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to hire and grow senior leaders and managers Strong foundation on fundamental engineering principles in their discipline Deep organization capabilities, especially in regards to influence, collaboration and communication Ability to inspire and motivate engineers to work together as a cohesive and productive unit Prior manufacturing experience in bringing large systems to market.
