The direct patient care activities are related to the following:
checking in patient for pre-op prep, measuring, recording and reporting patient information (vital signs, height and weight.

), hair clipping, provision of or assistance with activities of daily living, and simple treatments and procedures.
Addresses age appropriate needs when caring for patients.
In addition, maintains the patient and unit environment in a clean, orderly condition.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -Prefer formalized training as a Nursing Assistant from an accredited school or in the 2nd year of clinical rotation in a nursing program -BLS - Basic Life Support -Prefer 6 months Acute Care Hospital or Surgery Center experience KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES -Able to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal), required.
-Able to provide appropriate care based on the needs of the specific individuals, including age, required.
-Able to accurately, completely and independently perform the reading, writing and arithmetic required by the job, required.
-Meets the physical requirements of the job and is able to walk, stand and lift without endangering physical health or limiting work performance, required.
-Able to problem solve effectively using appropriate resources, required.
-Ability to be productive in workflow, skills and organization Job Type:
